Description

The GESTRA SPECTOR COMPACT OIL DETECTOR & ALARM for cooling water systems, specifically the ORGS 11-2 model, is designed to efficiently signal the presence of oil within the system. This compact equipment unit includes the measuring electrode ORGS 11-1 and a measuring pot, making it a comprehensive solution for oil detection in water.

The measuring electrode ORGS 11-1 functions based on the conductive measuring principle, utilizing the electrical conductivity of water to determine water level. In the event of oil ingress, the electronic module integrated in the terminal box detects the submerged or exposed state of the electrode rods and activates the output contacts to trigger an alarm.

To accurately detect oil in the water, a water sample is fed from below into the measuring pot of the ORGS 11-2. If the water is contaminated with oil, the oil droplets will rise to the top due to their lower density, causing the electrode rods to be submerged in the oil film. As oil is not electrically conductive, the absence of current flow between the electrode rods signals oil ingress and prompts the alarm to sound.

The GESTRA SPECTOR COMPACT OIL DETECTOR & ALARM is designed to detect substances that are insoluble in water, non-emulsified, and lighter than water. Furthermore, it can identify liquids with a conductivity value below the set response sensitivity. With a focus on accurate and timely oil detection, this equipment ensures the smooth operation of cooling water systems by providing essential alerts for maintenance and preventative measures.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
