The GESTRA NRG 16-11 S self-monitoring level electrode is a reliable component designed for seagoing vessels, mobile offshore platforms, and river boats. With a service pressure of 32 BAR G @ 238°C, this electrode is essential for detecting the minimum liquid level (low level alarm) in a steam boiler. The electrode operates on the conductivity measuring principle, utilizing the electrical conductivity of water to signal the liquid level, specifically the low level alarm.

Manufactured by GESTRA AG, the NRG 16-11 S electrode features a flange end connection, PN 40, DN 50, and is constructed with quality materials including flange 1.0460 C22.8 and measuring electrode 1.4401, X5CRNIMO17-12-2. The electrode insulation is made of GYLON, and the terminal box is constructed from polyamide (PA) for durability. Available in various lengths ranging from 500 mm to 2000 mm, the electrode has a cell constant of 0.13 cm-1 with measuring surface extension and 0.3 cm-1 without measuring surface extension.

The NRG 16-11 S is designed to work in conjunction with the level switch NRS 1-7 (15 sec.) as a self-monitoring low level limiter with periodic self-checking (SMART) feature. The terminal box features a four-pole connector, cable glands M 16 (PG 9), and offers IP 65 protection to EN 60529. With a response sensitivity of 10 ?S/cm at 25°C and protection against ambient temperatures up to 70°C, this level electrode is a crucial component in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers in marine and offshore environments.
