Description

The WAGO Incremental Encoder Interface 750-637 is a versatile and reliable module designed to interface with any incremental encoder featuring standard connections. This module allows for easy integration of a counter with a quadrature decoder, as well as a latch for the zero impulse that can be read or enabled by the controller. With the ability to set the counter and add the counter value to the latch register in different operating modes, this interface offers flexibility and convenience to the user.

One standout feature of this module is its automatic acquisition of the rate (increments/ms), which can be transmitted to the controller as an alternative to the latch value. Additionally, a counter lock-out function can be implemented using the "gate" input, providing extra security and control over the counting process. The "REF" input can activate the initial point "C" function, further enhancing the module's functionality and customization options.

The CAM outputs N1 and N2 serve to indicate whether the counter value falls within a defined range of values, with the ability to adjust this range as needed. Power for the module must be supplied by an external 24 VDC power source, which can also power the transmitter (UI, U0) for added convenience.
