The AMI VDR (Voyage Data Recorder) is an advanced maritime safety system designed to capture, store, and manage essential data from a vessel’s journey. Serving as a critical component for marine safety, the AMI VDR ensures that all key information regarding the vessel’s operations, navigation, and communication is securely recorded. This data is invaluable in the event of an incident, aiding investigators by providing a detailed account of the vessel’s performance and actions prior to an event.
With its high-quality recording capabilities, the AMI VDR collects a range of important data, including the vessel's speed, heading, position, bridge audio, radar data, and engine parameters. This comprehensive data set allows for a thorough analysis of any maritime incident, ensuring that operators and authorities have access to accurate information for investigating causes and improving future operational protocols. Additionally, the AMI VDR supports compliance with international maritime regulations, such as SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), which mandates that certain vessels be equipped with a VDR for safety and monitoring purposes.
Built to endure the harsh conditions of maritime environments, the AMI VDR features a rugged, shock-resistant design that ensures reliable operation even in extreme weather and sea conditions. The device is capable of withstanding vibrations, high humidity, and exposure to saltwater, ensuring long-term durability. Its easy installation process and minimal maintenance requirements make it an ideal choice for a variety of vessel types, including commercial ships, tankers, and passenger vessels.
The AMI VDR is equipped with a user-friendly interface that enables efficient monitoring and retrieval of stored data. In addition to its reliability and ease of use, the system’s data storage capacity ensures that critical voyage information is available for an extended period, making it a vital tool for improving vessel safety and enhancing overall maritime operations. By providing peace of mind with accurate, secure data logging, the AMI VDR helps ensure that vessel operations remain transparent, compliant, and well-managed.
